5.4 CKECKING FRONT/REAR BRAKE PADS
(wear check)
• We recommend that you have the front/rear pads checked every
2,000 km / 1,248 miles by a MALAGUTI Vendor/Dealer.
• The thickness of the brake lining must not be less than 2 mm
(Fig. 28).
• If the thickness of the pads is close to the lowest permitted limit,
or if they are damaged, have them replaced immediately.
5.5 COOLANT LEVEL CHECK (LIQUID-COOLED
VERSION)
• The engine cooling is made by forced circulation.
• A sensor inside the expansion tank signals the level is too low
by means of the relevant function symbol thermometer (T - Fig.
29.1) of the digital dashboard.
A situation of danger is signalled by the symbol activation. In this
case, proceed as follows: stop the engine, let it cool down,
open door (B - Fig.29), unscrew the expansion tank cap (C -
Fig.29) and top up (in case of emergency even with water),
screw the cap and close the door, then urgently contact an
Authorised Service Centre.
DO NOT UNSCREW THE FILLER CAP WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT
• The coolant temperature can be checked by means of a scale
inside the relevant function of the digital dashboard.
• Temperature is too high when a red led (S - Fig. 29.1) placed in
the clock on the right side of the dashboard is on. If this is the
case, proceed as described above.
Use the coolant prescribed in this manual (or one with the same
characteristics) for any topping-up.
Do not use water, except for an emergency.
