3.1 SUGGESTIONS
• Before using your scooter on traffic roads, we strongly suggest
you to become familiar with all the controls, the braking type,
the acceleration, etc. testing the motorcycle on low frequented
roads, industrial areas (during the week-ends), private roads.
Avoid riding in yards, where you could create dangerous
situations for children, old people, as well as for yourself.
The owner is personally responsible for his vehicle
conditions. The working functions of the motor scooter
can deteriorate, even if the vehicle remains unused.
Any damage, fluid leakage or tyre pressure drop can
seriously affect riding. For this reason, it is important to
make a correct and complete visual inspection of the
vehicle, before using it.
3.2 RUNNING- IN PERIOD
A good running-in period is very important for the durability of the
engine, the transmission and all the working parts, thus assuring
the perfect working conditions of the scooter in the long run.
During the first 500 km (312 miles) of running, we suggest not to
open the twist grip throttle control to the same extent.
Note: both during and after the running-in period, use exclusively
UNLEADED PETROL.
• If you note lack of oil in the tank, avoid using the vehicle with
normal mixture. In this way the engine will work normally, but the
pump will be forced to dry working, thus being irreparably damaged.
After the first 500 km (312 miles), do not forget to renew the
transmission oil.
