10.4 Installation of the
WRG 35 SR shell kit
NOTICE
Build up of dirt on the facade
around the external cowl if
unsuitable external plaster is
used. Mostly in areas with
high levels of air humidity.
Recommendation: Apply a
water-repellent plaster to the
facade.
Install the wall sleeve (also with
extension WRG 35-VH) flush with the
plaster inside and outside. Refer to
Chapter 10.5 for extension sleeve.
Drill a core hole in the external wall with a
diameter of 360 mm. Observe the minimum
spacing to the wall and ceiling (350 mm).
Make sure there is an incline of 0.5 to 1 %
towards the outside wall "A", to ensure that
any condensation can run onto the drip tray.
Lay the power cable and control cable(s) in
the protective ducting into the core hole in
the wall.
Feed the power cable and control cable
from above through the cutout in the wall
sleeve (see arrow on the left).
A permitted alternative is a standard
6-core control cable with two RJ12
Western plugs, max. length 10 m.
Slide the wall sleeve into the core hole and
line it up so that it is flush with the inside
wall. Pull the cables tight.
Insert the supplied polystyrene support into
the wall sleeve and line the unit up with a
spirit level. Make sure the unit is installed in
a horizontal position, with the label at the
top. Use the cross supports to put the spirit
level on (see arrow).
Plaster the wall sleeve in. Leave the
polystyrene support in the wall sleeve to
strengthen it.
Cut off any part of the wall sleeve that
extends beyond the outside wall. Observe
the thickness of the inside and outside
plaster.
Close both ends of the wall sleeve with the
protective caps.
In the case of wall thicknesses of
<
346 mm, a compensation frame must
be installed, see WRG 35-AR special
accessories (for wall thicknesses from
251 to 350 mm).
See Chapter 10.6 for the installation
of a WRG 35-AR compensation
frame.
When the external plastering work is
complete, drill four holes for the external
cover. Use the supplied drilling template to
mark the positions of the holes.
