9. Installation preparations
9.1 Transport
● Adhere to the valid safety and accident
prevention regulations when transporting
the unit.
● The permitted maximum load for lifting
gear, chains, ropes, etc. must be sufficient
for the total weight of the ventilation unit.
● Nobody should ever stand under a
suspended load.
9.2 Requirements at the installation
site
Installation is only permitted:
● in rooms with an ambient temperature from
-20 ...+40°C.
● on an external wall with sufficient load
bearing capacity.
●
with 0.5 to 1 % incline in the direction of
the external wall.
10. Installation (Specialist installer)
10.1 Important notes
● Installation work may only be carried out by
authorised specialists.
● Take the Technical data listed in Chapter
13 into account.
● Make sure there is sufficient working space
in front of the unit, e.g. for filter changing.
● In order to avoid any smells, there should
be sufficient space between the outside air
inlet for the ventilation unit and the
sewerage vent on the roof. Make sure
there is sufficient distance.
● Select the installation position so that
contamination and draughts are avoided.
● Recommendation for the prevention of dirt
deposits at the façade next to the external
cowl: Apply a water-repellent plastering
system to the façade.
● Install the drip tray correctly on the outside,
so that condensation can drip at a distance
away from the external wall.
● Include a separate ventilation unit for each
room that is to be ventilated, in your
planning.
● A network with 1 master and up to 8 slaves
is permitted. These can be regulated with
up to 4 room air controls of the same type.
● Do not fit the room air control near a
shower (no splash water protection).
● Only use original accessories for networks
(
Chapter 12). Take note of the maximum
overall cable length of 50 m.
● Install the wall sleeve flush with the plaster
inside and outside. If need be, insert the ex-
tension sleeve(s) WRG 35-VH. Make sure
that they are also flush with the plaster.
