Disc Plough
Scrapers are standard equipment on the plough.
To adjust the setting of the scraper In relation to the disc,
loosen the nut on the eyebolt and turn the scraper adjust-
ing block ‘K’ (Figure 6) as required to move the scraper
closer to or away from the disc.
The inner edge of the scraper may be set closer or further
away from the centre of the disc by means of the notches
of varying depth provided in the scraper adjusting block
for the scraper shank.
Normal setting is to have the inner edge of the scraper
extended practically to the centre of any nearly touching
the disc. The outside edge is given clearance from the
disc. If conditions become wet or sticky set the scraper
close to the face of the disc. If this is not done, the soil
will build up and gradually force the scraper away.
