Disc Plough

IMPORTANT :- Make an Adjustment at a time and study its effect. The trouble 

can be rectified 

by using only one

of the suggested remedies.:

Disc Plough

1. Plough won’t penetrate ...

(a) Reduce undercut

(b) Lower draft link hitch point on tractor

(c) Reduce furrow wheel spring pressure

(d) Reduce width of cut

(e) Add frame weights

2. Front furrow too wide

(a) Adjust plough rockshaft sideways

    (If front furrow is too

(b) Increase furrow wheel lead

    narrow the reverse applies)

(c) Move furrow wheel to the left

(d) Check tractor wheel settings.

(e) Check sub beam location.
