achieved by normal adjustments, the operator is advised
to adopt the following procedure, testing between each
stage.
Note :
All adjustments are more critical in hard ploughing
condition:
1. Reduce the cutting width and set the discs at mini-
mum undercut of 6 deg. If at this undercut setting,
penetration is excessive increase undercut angle.
2. Reduce the number of discs, set the plough at Its nor-
mal cutting width and proceed as below.
3. If after making the above adjustments, penetration Is
not completely effective, lower the draft link points
on the tractor.
4. If penetration is still lacking, add beam weights.
Frame Weights
50 kgs plough weights (Figure 5), available as special equip-
ment may be used in extremely hard soil conditions where
additional weight is necessary for penetration. Either one
or two of these weights may be used.
