Excessive Vibration
Blades are not free to turn.

Blades are out of balance.
Check blades for damage or replace
Unusual Noise
Loose blade bolts or worn bushings or
pivoting element.
Tighten bolts, check for wear element
and change as needed.
Bent stump jumper.
Replace stump jumper.
Deck bent causing blades to hit.
Straighten deck.
Poor Cutting
Not maintaining proper engine speed. Operate at proper engine speed.
Improperly adjusted.
Adjust according to operator’s manual.
Operation speed is too fast for blade
speed.
Coordinate operation speed with blade
speed.
Dull blades.
Sharpen blades.
Improper clutch adjustment.
Adjust clutch according to manual.
Rough cutter streaking
Cutting too high, leaving wheel tracks. Reduce cutting height and operation
speed.
Not maintaining proper RPM speed.
Maintain proper RPM speed.
Operation speed too fast.
Slow down.
The unit is not cutting level.
Deck is not level.
Level the deck.
Flat tire.
Check air pressure of both tires; make
sure they are equal. See tires for
maximum inflation.
Improperly installed blades.
Without the engine running, make
certain blades are installed identically.
Cutter bounces excessively
while towing.
Too high pressure in tires.
Decrease tire pressure.
Moving too fast.
Tow at a lower speed.
Engine runs poorly.
Throttle cable not properly adjusted.
Check adjustment of the throttle.
Stale fuel
Replace fuel, clean fuel filter and fuel
line.
Use proper fuel stabilizer
Poor ignition
Check spark plug and gap.
