If something doesn’t work…

Improper
repairs can result in the product func-
tioning unsafely. This endangers
yourself and your environment.
Malfunctions are often caused by minor
faults. You can easily remedy most of these
yourself. Please consult the following table
before contacting the vendor. You will save
yourself a lot of trouble and possibly money
too.

Tank empty?

Ignition cable connector
loose?
Push the connector firmly onto
the spark plug.
Spark plug contaminated?
Spark plug defective?
Excess fuel in the combustion
chamber?
Take out the spark plug and dry
the electrode.
Distance from electrode to
spark plug too great?
Set gap at 0,7–0,8 mm.
Incorrect fuel?
Drain tank and fill up with the
correct fuel.
The starter does not turn.
Battery pack discharged?
Battery pack defective?
Contact your local vendor.
Motor misfires when running
Air filter contaminated?
Motor does not reach the max-
imum speed
Spark plug contaminated?
Distance from electrode to
spark plug too great?
Set gap at 0,7–0,8 mm.
Incorrect fuel?
Empty tank and fill up with the
correct fuel.
Abnormal noise.
Screws/parts looses?
Re-tighten the screws.
Foreign objects in the blade?
Remove foreign objects.
Blade damaged?
Grind or exchange the blade.
Cut quality insufficient.
Blade dull?
If you can’t fix the fault yourself, contact your
nearest vendor. Please be aware that any
improper repairs will also invalidate the war-
ranty and additional costs may be incurred.

Disposal of the appliance

caused by leaking fuel: drain the tank
prior to disposal.
This appliance must not be disposed of with
regular household waste! Dispose of the
