Handling rechargeable devices
•
Danger of fire! Only use batteries
approved by the manufacturer. Only use
chargers approved by the manufacturer.
Keep battery away from metal objects that
could cause short circuiting when not in
use. There is a risk of injuries and fires.
•
Prior to connecting the charger, verify that
the power supply connection corresponds
with the connecting data of the device.
•
The fuse must be a residual current cir-
cuit-breaker with a measured residual
current of no more than 30 mA.
•
Only charge the battery in closed rooms.
•
Ensure that the device is switched off
before installing the battery.
•
Never switch on the device during the
charging process.
•
Fluid can escape from the battery when
used incorrectly. Battery fluid may result in
skin irritations and burns. Avoid contact!
In the event of accidental contact, rinse
thoroughly with water. Immediately seek
the aid of a physician in the event of eye
contact.
Concerning the use of fuels
Fuels are inflammable and explosive.
Reduce the risk of explosion and fire as
follows:
•
Turn off and cool the motor down before
filling the tank with fuel.
•
Refrain from smoking and starting open
fires when handling fuels.
•
Store and mix fuels in approved and cor-
respondingly labelled canisters.
•
Store fuels in closed containers. Keep in
mind that fuels may also evaporate at
room temperature and collect on the floor
of closed rooms (risk of explosion).
•
Do not open the tank lid or refill with petrol
when the motor is running or even when it
is hot.
•
If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start
the motor.
•
Start the machine at least nine metres
away from the fuelling location.
•
If you need to empty the tank, do so out in
the open.
Fuels are toxic! They contain substances
that have an immediate toxic effect and
may also cause permanent damage to
your health. Take all precautionary meas-
ures to prevent your body from absorbing
any of these substances:
