Module Function 

If certain events are occuring the module 803203 SIL0 DO 8, 24 V behaves as 
follows:

Event

Description

Short circuit

Forced switch off 
of channel

▪ The diagnosis bit is set for the affected 

channel

▪ The channel will be switched off, the 

switching off has to be acknowledged 
by the bus coupler. After the 
acknowledging, the bus coupler 
switches on the channel again. 
Between the switch off and on there is 
a time difference of 2 sec.

Overcurrent 
noticed
