Command - Define Variable
Description
Use this com mand to de fine vari able data for
the text and bar code data fields in stored forms.
Variable data can be combined with fixed data
or other data types (counter, date, etc..) in text
or bar code data fields.

This is the max imum num ber of charac-
ters al lowed in the variable field.

Note
: Right and cen ter jus ti fi ca tion does
not apply to soft fonts.
“PROMPT”
= An ASCII text field that will be
transmitted to the host (via the se rial in -
terface) each time this command is ex e-
cuted.
Use the prompt to ask for a value to be
entered for the vari able.

The KDU al lows a max imum of 40 char acters
for en try into a vari able data field and dis play.
