Effect of Temperature, continued
At lower than normal operating temperatures, battery power capacity
will be reduced, but battery life will be extended.
Determine the percent of rated capacity for the battery at 77 °F (25 °C)
using the following formula:
% Rated Capacity = ([discharge time (minutes) / rated
discharge time (minutes)] / 100) ± K
Variation of K with temperature is shown in Figure 7-1.
