Installing Standard and Seismic Racks, continued

Seismic Rack
Assembly

10. Install all back restraint rail(s) and cover(s). See Figure 6-8.

11. Position front restraint rail and cover temporarily next to front

support rail prior to installing cells.

Leveling and
Securing Rack
Assembly

12. Check that the rack is level and square.

13. Torque down all bolts. First torque the cross brace bolts to 55-65

ft.-lbs, then torque the rail to frame bolts to 15-20 ft.-lbs. Torque
anchor bolts to manufacturer's recommended value.
