USING THE FEATURES OF THE
CORDLESS HEADSET
The Business Cordless 901 can be used as a feature phone on your PARTNER
System since it has additional buttons other than the regular 12-key dial pad.
Among these features are the programmable memory dial buttons and special
features such as [
FLASH
] and [
MUTE
]. Most of the features on the BC901 will
work with your PARTNER System. You can use the PARTNER System dial
code features from the BC901, and program them into a memory dial location.
However, there are some limitations to what the BC901 can do.
The feature capabilities of the BC901 are in the unit itself. For example, if you
store a number in a programmable memory dial location, that number is stored
in the BC901. (This is different from storing a number on a PARTNER phone’s
Auto Dial button. When you program a button on a PARTNER phone, the
number is actually stored in the control unit.)
If you want to program an outside number on a BC901’s memory dial button,
you must add a [
9
][
HOLD
][
HOLD
] before each outside number. (Since the
Automatic Line Selection should be set for “Intercom first”, the [
9
] gets an
outside line, and the [
HOLD
] inserts a few seconds of delay/pause required for
the outside line to get an outside dial tone.)
NOTE: The BC901’s last number redial button may not work for an outside
call when Automatic Line Selection is set for “Intercom first”. To redial the last
number, use the PARTNER System’s Last Number Redial feature by pressing [
#
]
[

][
5
] at intercom dial tone.
