Gocator 2000 Family
Connecting to a New Sensor
Sensors ship with the following default network configuration:

All Gocator sensors are configured to 192.168.1.10 as the default IP address. For dual sensor setup, the Main
and Buddy sensors must be assigned unique addresses before they can be used on the same network. Prior
to proceeding, connect the Main and Buddy sensors one at a time (to avoid an address conflict) and use the
steps in the Customizing Network Settings section (page 30) to assign each sensor a unique address.
To connect to a sensor for the first time:

Connect cables and apply power.

Change client network settings.
Windows 7:
»
Open the Control Panel and select Network and
Sharing Center, then click Change Adapter Settings.

Right-click the desired network connection, and
then click Properties.
»
On the Networking tab, click Internet Protocol
Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
»
Select “Use the following IP address” option.
»
Enter IP Address “192.168.1.5” and Subnet Mask
“255.255.255.0”, then click OK.
