Customizing Network Settings
Each sensor can be assigned a unique IP address, or configured to use DHCP for automatic address
assignment.
To modify a sensor’s network settings:
1
Go to the Connection Page > Main Panel.
2
Modify settings and click the Save Button.
The sensor can be configured to use DHCP, or
assigned a static address.
When you click the Save button, you will be
prompted to confirm your selection.
3
Reset or power-cycle the sensor.
After changing network configuration, the
sensor must be reset or power-cycled before
the change will take effect.
The Reset Sensor Button in the Maintenance
panel can be used to perform a software reset.
Refer to the Management and Recovery (page
103) for information.
Remember to change the network settings of the client computer to match the changes made to the sensors
before attempting to reconnect.
In cases where the changes to the IP address or subnet mask are forgotten, please use the Sensor Discovery
tool. Refer to Recovering Sensors (page 107) for more information.
