B asic playback
Turn on the television and select the appropriate video input on the
television to suit the connections for the player.
Press [ PO W ER ] to turn on the unit.
Press to turn the unit on or off.
Lights up in red w hen the pow er is off.
Press [ O PEN /C LO SE ] to open the disc tray
and place the disc label-up on the disc tray.
Press [ PLA Y ] to start playback.
Press [ F.F. ] to perform fast forw ard
scanning.
Press repeatedly to play the disc forw ard at 2x, 4x, 8x ,16x.
Press [ R EW ] to perform fast reverse
scanning.
Press repeatedly to play the disc reverse at 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x.
Press [ N EXT] to advance to the next
chapter/track.
Press repeatedly to skip to the next chapter during playback.
Press [ PR EVIO U S] to reverse to a previ-
ous chapter.
Press repeatedly to return to the beginning of previous chapters
during playback.
Press [ PA U SE/STEP] to pause playback.
Press [ PAU SE/STEP] again to start “fram e
by fram e m ode”.
Press repeatedly to advance D VD s and Video C D s fram e by
fram e during playback in pause m ode.
Press [ PLAY] to restart norm al playback .
Press [ STO P] to stop playback.
D VD /VC D /SVC D video disc playback
Before you can start to enjoy the digital audio and video on D VD s, be sure that you have m ade the necessary settings in the Setup screen
m enus outlined in the previous section to correspond to your hom e system . H aving m ade these settings, you are now ready to start using the
player to enjoy D VD s, Video C D s, and C D s.
Press [ D ISPLAY ] to display the inform ation of
D VD /VC D /SVC D D isc.
Press [ TO P M EN U ] to display the disc m enu
on the TV screen.
Press to return to the D VD ’s title or disc root m enu for the
current title during playback.

title m enu.
