B efore to start recording
LVW -5006 D VD R ecorder is a versatile D VD recorder that can
record video in either VC D / SVC D or audio C D form at on C D -R /
R W discs. Please use qualified recordable disc to ensure the best
recording quality. C heck our W eb site for the qualified discs list.
Notes:
Ensure to activate the “erase”function before you started to record.

1.Press [ G U ID ER ] to display the “Easy
G uider” m enu, press [

“Erase” and then press [EN TER ].
R ecording m ode (an em pty 700M B disc)

form at to record and then press [EN TER ].
3.W hen the disc preparation process is com -
pleted and the form at is created, select “Exit” and
press [EN TER ] to exit the erase m enu.
VC D /SVC D recording
To start recording
1.Place a w ell-prepared C D -R or C D -R W disc
onto the disc tray w ith the disc’s label facing up.
2.Press [ G U ID ER ] to display the “Easy
G uider” m enu, press [

] [
T
] to select the
“R ecord” and then press [EN TER ].
3.Press [
S
] [
T
] to select the signal-input ( TV,
A V1-Front,A V2-R ear, S-Video, D V ) and press
[EN TER ].
Notes:
1.You can’t perform any recording before you the C D -R /C D -R W
disc is prepared.
2.O nly single form at is allow ed on a single disc.
3.You can’t change the form at of C D -R disc after the disc prepara-
tion process.
4.To change the form at of a C D -R W disc, you m ust use the “erase”
function to create a new form at.
5.All contents on the disc w ill be erased after the disc preparation
process.
4.Press [G O ] to record your signal onto the disc.
5.Press [ STO P] to stop recording.
To pause recording
Press [
PAU SE] to pause recording. If you w ant to restart
recording, press the button or [R EC O R D ] again.
A udio C D recording
To start audio track recording
1.Place a C D -R / C D -R W disc prepared in the
audio C D form at onto the tray w ith the disc’s
label facing up.
2.Press [ G U ID ER ] to display the “Easy
G uider” m enu, press [
S
] [
T
] to select the
“R ecord” and then press [EN TER ].
3.Press [
S
] [
T
] to select the audio signal input (
TV, A V1-Front, A V2-R ear, S-Video, D V) and press
[EN TER ].
4.Press [R EC O R D ] to record your audio signal
onto a recordable C D disc.
5.Press [ED IT] to create a new audio track into
disc during recording.
6.Press [ STO P] to stop audio recording.
Notes:
1.Press the [Edit] button one, a new audio track w ill be autom ati-
cally created by 2-sec interval.
2.Audio source input during the 2-sec interval w ill be recorded as
the beginning of the new track.
