Recording
Using DVD Menu
The DVD menu displays all the titles (programs) recorded on a
disc.You can directly select the one you want to play on the menu.
1. Press [ PLAY] or [
GUIDER]
Press [DVD] on the remote control to switch to DVD control mode
first. The DVD menu is displayed when you press [
PLAY] or
when you press [
GUIDER], “Playback” and “Play Disc.”
2. Press [

] to select a title (program) you want to
play and press [ENTER].

To switch to “Text View” display
To switch to a text-based Disc Menu, select the “Text View” icon
and press [ENTER]. Only in “Text View” mode can you see the
full name of your recorded titles. To switch back to the graphical
menu, select the “Thumbnail View” icon and press [ENTER].
Press [RECORD] to start a new recording session and
press [ STOP] at the point you want to stop.
Note:
1. For DVD discs, each new recording session is placed after the
previous session unless a certain recording title is set to be
overwritten.
2. The VHS tape begins recording at the point where it was left.
You must select the desired recording location on the tape.
3. Before you start, please check whether the disc or the VHS tape
has enough space for the recording.
Changing Chapter Interval (DVD Disc Only)
Creating chapters while recording
The unit automatically divides a session into chapters by inserting
chapter marks at 5/10/15/20/25/30-minute intervals during the
recording process.
1. Press [SETUP] to display the Setup menu.
2. Press [

] to select “Record” and press [
].
3. Press [

] to select “Chapter Mark” and press

] . Press [

] to set the chapter interval and
[ENTER] for confirmation.
4. When completed, press [SETUP] to exit the
“SETUP” menu and save the settings.
Note:
During DVD disc recording, press [EDIT] to manually add a
chapter mark(s) in a recording session.
Adding New Recordings
One-Touch Recording
Before performing this function, you need to select the
target medium for the recording.
Use “One-touch recording”
to start recording immediately in 30-minute blocks. Press
[RECORD]
twice
to start a 30-minute recording session. Press
[RECORD] repeatedly to extend recording sessions, up to 6
hours in thirty-minute increments. Pressing [RECORD] when the
timed recording exceeds the 6-hour constraint automatically
turns “one-touch recording” OFF. The length of recording
depends on the current mode of recording quality and the
amount of time available on the disc/VHS tape.
Playing Recordings on a VHS Tape
Press [ PLAY]
1. Press [VHS] on the remote control to switch to tape control
mode
.
Press [
F.F.] or [
REW] to fast forward or rewind
the tape to the point you want to start playback from.
2. Press [
PLAY] and playback begins.
