Mapping Channels for the VCR Plus+ System
The VCR Plus+ programming system greatly simplifies the timer
recording process. To record a show, simply look up its
PlusCode programming number in your newspaper or magazine
listings, and enter it on the Timer Record menu.
To get started, you must first match your local TV channels to
the Guide Channel Numbers (GCNs). This one-time procedure is
known as “Channel Mapping.”
1. Turn on the TV set and the unit.
2. Switch your TV’s input source to “AV.”
3. Press [SOURCE] to switch to “TV.”
4. Press [EDIT] to bring up the “Channel Editor”
menu, press [

] to select one of the TV
channels and press [
].
5. Press [
] [
] to select the “GCN” and press
[ENTER].
The “Guide Channel Number (GCN)” menu is displayed.
Swapping TV Channels
This function allows you to manually change the TV channel
positions stored in the unit to match those stored in your TV set.
1. On the “Channel Editor” menu, press [
] [
] to
select one of the TV channels and press [
].
2. Press [
] [
] to select “Swap With” and press
[ENTER].
3. Press [
] [
][
] [
] to enter the channel number
and press [ENTER].
The channel will change its position.
4. Repeat as necessary.
5. When completed, press [
] [
][
] [
] to select
“EXIT.” Press [ENTER] to save the setting and exit
the “Channel Editor” menu.
6. Press [
] [
][
] [
] to enter the Guide Channel
Number (GCN) and press [ENTER].
7. Repeat as necessary.
8. When completed, press [
] [
][
] [
] to select
“EXIT.” Press [ENTER] to save the setting and exit
the “Channel Editor” menu.
