Make sure to install the piston rings so that the
manufacturer’s m arks or numbers are located
on the upper side of the rings.
z Lubricate the pistons and piston rings liberally
with engine oil.
2.Install:

z Piston pin clip e NEW
NOTE:
z Apply engine oil to the piston pins.

on the piston must face
the exhaust side of the cylinder.
z Before installing the piston pin clip, cover the
crankcase opening with a clean rag to prevent
the piston pin clip from falling into the
crankcase.
z Make sure to install each piston in its
respective cylinder.
3. Install:
z Gasket (cylinder) NEW
z Dowel pins
4. Position:
z Piston rings
NOTE:
Offset the piston ring end gaps as shown.
