10. Service
10.1 Maintenance and servicing
The sentida 03 beds require very little servicing. This is because, during product development,
care was taken to reduce that servicing work to a minimum, with low operating costs.
In daily use, however, experience shows that products are also sometimes handled carelessly,
and rough handling can also contribute to them aging more quickly and to the wear of certain
components, on which the manufacturer can have no direct influence.
The manufacturer assumes liability for the safety and reliability of the product only if it is reg-
ularly maintained and used in accordance with the operating, usage and safety notes in these
instructions for use.
Maintenance should be performed exclusively by competent specialists who have been trained
on the product by Linet. Only trained operators and maintenance technicians can ensure
proper handling and use of the beds. Linet’s technical customer service offers servicing and
necessary training on all aspects of the product.
If a function check, an inspection, measurement or servicing reveals serious defects that cannot
be rectified, the product must be suspended from further use.
Linet recommends a standard mechanical service at yearly intervals. An electrical inspection
and test of the bed should also take place at the same time. According to the German medical
devices law, operators are obligated to make regular recurring inspections / tests.
The manufacturer generally requires maintenance in accordance with the valid occupational
safety and maintenance regulations at the operation location and compliance with the national
rules for the operation of technical work equipment and medical products.
For this reason, EN 62353 resp. IEC 62353 standard applies for safety inspections. Our customer
