Warning!
Incorrectly locked side guards can slide down and cause a fall of the resident. Make
sure the side guard has correctly engaged in each new position by shaking it. The
correct engagement can also be visually inspected: The yellow locking buttons in
the locking recess of the telescope mechanism must be recognizable on both sides.
7.2 Continous side guards (09)
The continous side guards are available with two bars (09 2-part) or three bard (09 3-part). The
lifting and lowering is for both variants identically.
If you want to lift the lowered 09 side guard:
•
Hold the side guard at the lower edge of the bar; lift it until the side guard audibly clicks into
place.
If you want to lower the 09 side guard:
•
Lift the side guard and push the release button in direction of narrow.
•
Carefully lower the side guard.
Warning!
Incorrectly positioned side guards can slide down and cause a fall of the patient or
resident. By shaking the side guard, make sure that it has clicked into the right po-
sition.
Warning!
With some model variants, there is the locking mechanism for the side rail in the „central
position“. This position does not provide sufficient protection from falling out.
