5.6 Safety notes for height adjustment
Warning!
Comfort seating position / legs up position: Particularly in conjunction with a bed
extension, there is a danger of entrapment between the extension and the floor –
and of the foot section or head section coming into contact with the floor. Move the
patient surface to an appropriate height before every adjustment of the bed. The
same applies when a linen holder is used!
Danger!
Before every height adjustment of the bed, you must make sure that there are no
persons, animals or objects in the danger area. Always leave the handset in the
locked position so that no unauthorized persons can manipulate the height adjust-
ment of the bed.
Warning!
The sentida 03´s design requires a clear height of less than 150 mm. Prior to every
height adjustment of the bed, you must make sure that there are no persons, objects
or anything else in the entrapment area beneath the bed! Always leave the handset
in the locked position so that no unauthorized persons may adjust the height of the
bed.
Warning!
When tilting to the seating position, make sure the toes do not get under the ends
of the bed.
5.5 Function test handset
Before a nursing home bed is used for the first time, several function tests must be performed
and checks be made to ensure that the respective adjustments have been made without inter-
ruption. These are explained in more detail in this chapter (see functions described in chapter
5.1).
Caution: First move the locking switch to nursing mode
Also check the diode signals during the functional test (see chapter „Hand switch functions“).
If the function check fails, contact technical service.
