1.4 Requirements for personnel
Handling the weed brush is only permitted for persons,
•
who are at least 16 years old,
•
who are physically and mentally suited to do so,
•
who have read and understood this operating manual, and
•
from whom it is expected that they responsibly perform the
tasks assigned to them.
Commissioning, maintenance, repair and disposal of the weed
brush may only be executed in a specialist workshop or by
persons with appropriate technical training and experience.
1.5 Danger zone
The danger zone is the area in which the safety or the health of
persons is jeopardised. Consequently no one should be in this
area when the weed brush is in operation.
WARNING!
For persons in the danger zone there is danger of injury due to
rocks or other foreign objects, or parts of the brush that are
thrown upwards by the machine
Therefore:
•
Only operate the weed brush if no one is in the danger zone.
•
Carefully observe the danger zone and stop the weed brush if
persons enter the danger zone.
•
Before starting to work with the machine, foreign objects must
be removed from the area that will be processed. When
working with the machine, look for other foreign objects and
remove them in good time.
The danger zone is shown in the sketch (see Fig. 1, on the next
page):
