WARNING!
Danger of injury and danger of material damage if fuel is filled
during operation.
When fuel runs over the hot motor and the exhaust, highly
flammable gases occur.
Therefore:
•
Switch off the motor (see section 4.2.2, page 24).
•
Let the motor cool.
•
Only top up with fuel after the motor has cooled.
4.2 Sweep operation
NOTE
We recommend that you always work in the same direction the
wind is blowing. Thus you prevent tossed-up sweepings from
hitting you or contaminating the motor.
4.2.1 Starting the motor
Ensure that the spark plug connector has not been pulled
off.
Open the fuel cock (if present, see the operating manual
provided by the motor manufacturer in the sub-package for
the weed brush).
Place the fuel control lever in choke position.
Start the motor with a forceful pull on the starting rope.
After a few seconds set the fuel control lever back far
enough that the motor no longer runs in choke range, but in
the full load range. (hare symbol)
