1.6 Work clothing
WARNING!
Unsuitable, loose work clothing, bandannas, ties, and scarves
can be caught by the weed brush and pulled in.
Severe injuries are the result.
Therefore:
•
When operating the weed brush, and for maintenance and
repair tasks, always wear suitable tight-fitting work clothing.
•
Because the possibility of rocks, or other objects, or parts of
the brush being thrown as far as the operator station or even
further cannot be completely excluded, it is necessary to wear
protective equipment: Long, sturdy trousers, safety footwear,
protective goggles and protective gloves.
1.7 Safety devices and protective devices
1.7.1 Safety switch
The switch bracket for brush rotation is designed as a dead
man's switch. Pull the switch bracket against the steering bar to
switch on brush rotation.
To bring the weed brush to a standstill, simply release the
switch bracket.
1.7.2 Splash guard
The splash guard reduces the danger zone. It must only be
used for maintenance or repair tasks.
1.7.3 Protective cover
The V-belt drives in the interior of the weed brush are
considered danger zones and are protected against access by
the front protective cover and the housing.
