There are several options for mounting the

SDM-1 Rack Mounting Option
The
µ
SDM-1 can be installed in a standard ETSI or 19” rack for Central Office (CO)
applications. The rack accommodates the
µ
SDM-1 multiplexer, Digital Distribution
Frames (DDF) for the 2 Mbit/s connections, a Power Distribution Frame (PDF)
which routes power to the various rack-mounted components, and a rack-mounted
strain relief. Figure
2-2 shows a typical rack mounted configuration.
Rack mounted DDFs are available with Krone connectors for 120
Ω
twisted pair
wiring or 75
Ω
BT-43, DIN (Siemens), or BNC connectors for coaxial wiring (up to
63 x 2 Mbit/s).

SDM-1E units can be rack-mounted in one of two
