Definition of the term "parallel spacing"
As shown in Figure 5.4, dimension X describes the "parallel spacing" of the inner edges of
the two laser light spots on the reflector.

Thus, the center-to-center spacing of the two AMS 300

devices with respect to one another
can be calculated as a function of the maximum measurement distance.
To define the minimum parallel spacing between two AMS 300

, it is necessary to distinguish
between three different arrangements of AMS 300

and reflectors.
