Device overview
3.1.1
General information
The laser distance sensor is an optical distance sensor that operates according to the triangulation mea-
surement principle.
The sensor consists of the following components:
• Transmitter: laser spot
• Receiver
• White OLED display
• Control panel with control buttons
• Status LEDs
• Connection for connecting to the control: M12 connector
The sensor can be configured using display and control buttons.
With the
Sensor Studio
configuration software, the sensors can be configured via the IO-Link interface with
a PC and the measurement values visualized. Stored parameter sets can be duplicated in other sensors.
The connection is made via the IO-Link USB master, which is available as an accessory.
