CAUTION: Before proceeding with conversion the gas supply must be shut off prior to disconnecting the electrical power.

Remove the safety screen, glass door and media.

Disengage the air shutter control rod by wiggling and pushing the rod to the left.

Remove the 10 screws (5 per side) that secure the media tray and burner assembly in place. Lift this assembly up and out of the appliance.
4.
Using a deep socket wrench, remove the orifi ce from the fi rebox and replace with the orifi ce supplied (#37 for NG, #52 for LP).

Remove the two screws from the valve regulator and remove the regulator, replace with the one supplied (refer to Figure 1).
This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualifi ed service agency in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having
jurisdiction. If the information in these instructions is not followed exactly, a fi re, explosion
or production of carbon monoxide may result causing property damage, personal injury or
loss of life. The qualifi ed service agency is responsible for the proper installation of this kit.
The installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted appliance is
checked as specifi ed in the owner instructions supplied with the kit.

Remove the pilot hood from the pilot assembly by removing the retaining clip and pulling vertically. Use a

Allen key to unscrew the injector. Replace the pilot injector with the one supplied. Re-assemble the pilot hood onto
the assembly ensuring key position for proper alignment. Reinstall retaining clip.
7.
The conversion data label must be fi lled out and attached adjacent to the valve.
8.
Re-install the burner and media tray assembly. Turn on the electrical supply to the appliance.
9.
Verify the center of the pilot hood is 1” 1/8” away from the fi rst burner port (refer to Figure 2).
10.
Engage the air shutter control rod by locating the stud on the shutter with the grommet on the
control rod. Wiggle and push the knob to the right until the stud is totally inserted in the grommet.
