Chapter 13. System memory speed

The Intel Xeon

®

microprocessor families compatible with this ThinkStation computer feature an integrated

memory controller, which provides the microprocessor with direct access to the system memory. The system
memory speed, therefore, is determined by various factors, including the microprocessor model and the
type, speed, size (capacity), and number of DIMMs installed. Refer to the following table for the information
on the supported system memory speed for your own computer model.
