Attention: Make sure no components contacts the cassette sheet metal edges when
removing the adapter from the cassette.
If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and use
any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
Install a PCIe adapter
Use this information to install a PCIe adapter.

Before you install a PCIe adapter:
1. Touch the static-protective package that contains the adapter to any unpainted metal surface on the
solution; then, remove the adapter from the package.
2. Place the adapter, component side up, on a flat, static-protective surface and set any jumpers or
switches as described by the adapter manufacturer, if necessary.
Complete the following steps to install the PCIe adapter.
Step 1. Remove the adapter cassette.
a. Slide the release latch to the open position.
b. Slide the adapter cassette out of the shuttle.
