Setup Instructions
Be sure to read and understand the following operation information
for maximum benefit from the product.
Cabling and Connecting Setup
Set up for the unit is pretty straight forward. After unpacking the unit and inspecting
the case for any possible shipping damage place the unit in its intended operating
position. Assure yourself that there is at least a ½ inch of space to each side of the unit
and above the unit for air circulation.
If unfamiliar with networking video, it is strongly recommended
that you set up the unit with a cross-over network cable prior to
placing the units in a live network environment to familiarize
yourself with operation, set-up, and use. Once the units are
configured and communicate to each other then adding a hub
for use with the web based interface connected to a computer
with the same gateway, and IP range, will be useful. At that
point you will be ready to place the units in a operating LAN.
Video Connections
First identify your source visual feed or monitor NTSC or PAL, and the video format
composite RCA male, or S-Video Mini Din 4pin male connecting to the units back
panel.
You can connect S-video and or composite signal to the back of the unit. (Please refer
to the accompanying picture if you’re unsure which plug to use.)
