Audio Connections
Feed either monaural or stereo into the units Line level 3.5mm (1/8 inch) male Mini-
phono jack. If you have a mono signal, you may use a 2-conductor plug for this signal
input or the three conductor plug for a stereo signal to be encoded.
Network Cable Connections
Connect the units NIC RJ-45 port (CAT5 cable) from a local 10/100BaseT switch
network.
Next plug the power supply lead into the unit and the power supply into a grounded
and polarized electrical socket. The unit as shipped will have default configurations
already loaded into memory, so once you turn the power on the unit is encoding and
outputting to the network connection.
HOWEVER THIS IS LIKELY NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOU CURRENT
NETWORK SETTINGS SO YOU WON’T SEE ANY AUDIO OR VIDEO AT THIS
POINT.
The blue encoding LED and the LAN LED on the front panel should flicker after
feeding the encoder source audio/video, if so you have successfully completed the
electrical interfacing and made all connections required for routine operation.
