Change the Aperio Service Account Password and Update ApService
The Aperio service account is used by the Aperio scanner to manage the scanner service ApService. The account and service
are necessary for the scanner to operate.
While there is no Aperio requirement to change the Aperio service account password, your institution’s password policy may
require you to periodically change the account password. If you change the password, you must also update the credentials
of the ApService service that runs under the Aperio service account or the scanner will not operate.
Perform the procedures below on the Aperio AT2 DX control station.
Changing the Aperio Service Account Password
To change the password for the Aperio service account:
1.
Log in as the Aperio service account user. (The default Aperio service account user name is
AperioSvc
and the
initial password is
Sc@nscope123
. Contact your administrator for assistance if the user name and password have
changed.)
2.
Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE.
3.
Select
Change a password
on the Windows screen.
4.
Enter the old password.
5.
Enter the new password and repeat it in the next text box.
6.
Click the arrow to proceed.
Now you must go to the next section to update the service credentials.
