INTRODUCTION
The manually operated primary flight controls on Learjet 20 series airplanes incorporate elec-
trical trim in all three axes. Secondary flight controls consist of hydraulically actuated spoilers
and flaps. Other systems related to flight controls are the yaw damper, stall warning, and Mach
overspeed warning systems.
GENERAL
The primary flight controls, ailerons, elevator,
and rudder are direct linkage systems with
pushrods, bellcranks, and cables connecting the
control surfaces to cockpit controls with no
hydraulic or power boost. A rudder/aileron
interconnect provides control coordination
during turns.
The ailerons incorporate mechanical balance
tabs to provide aerodynamic assistance. Roll,
yaw, and pitch trim systems are electrically oper-
ated and controlled. The trim tabs are installed
on the left aileron and the rudder. The movable
horizontal stabilizer provides pitch trim.
The flaps and spoilers are electrically controlled
and hydraulically actuated.
