824 Reference Manual
11/8/00
In order to measure the amplitude linearity of your system,
input a signal as a reference amplitude and frequency. You
will see the actual level minus the reference level displayed
in the upper left of your screen as the Fundamental - refer-
ence. The incoming frequency will be shown on the upper
right of the screen as the Fundamental frequency. The Fun-
damental level always shows the actual dB level coming
into the 824.
To set the incoming signal as the reference, press the check
key
to enter the Linearity check menu.
You may also enter the reference
level numerically by adjusting the
“Reference Lvl” setting.
Highlight “Set Reference” and press the check key
. The
reference level is then set to the current fundamental level
and you will be returned to the Linearity screen.
