12.29.15   Set/Define Service PostScript

Determines how the Server will handle PostScript print jobs. If enabled, the Server will assume there is a
PostScript printer attached to the service port(s) and try to ensure a job is done before starting another. It
will send a small PostScript job to the printer before the user data to “force” the printer into PostScript mode.

At the end of each job it will wait for the printer to signal that the job was completed. If this is not done,
slower printers may lose jobs as new jobs overwrite a previous job which is still being interpreted. Enabling
PostScript mode is strongly recommended for all PostScript queues.

Applies To

EPS1, EPS2, EPS2-100, EPS4-100, MPS1, MPS100, LPS1

Restrictions

You must be the privileged user to use this command.

See Also

Clear/Purge Service, page 12-3; Show/Monitor/List Services, page 12-72.

12.29.16   Set/Define Service PSConvert

Controls whether the Server will place a PostScript wrapper around each job. The Server will try to detect
if the job is already PostScript, in which case it would not add an additional wrapper.

Applies To

EPS1, EPS2, EPS2-100, EPS4-100, MPS1, MPS100, LPS1

12.29.17   Set/Define Service RTEL

Enables or disables TCP/IP access to the specified service.

Applies To

EPS1, EPS2, EPS2-100, EPS4-100, MPS1, MPS100, LPS1
