EDIT

This button is used to edit or change how the colorimeter
performs certain tasks. If the results of a test are displayed in
units of concentration and then the
EDIT

depressed the %T and Absorbance of that solution will be
displayed while the button is depressed. If the colorimeter is
terfaced with a printer (see RS-232 Port, p. 48), pressing the
EDIT
button when a test result is displayed, will send the
data to the printer. If the
EDIT
button is pressed while
turning on the colorimeter, the colorimeter will go to the
EDIT SEQUENCES
menu.
OFF
n
This button is an exit or escape button. When pressed, the
display will exit from the current menu and go to the previous
menu. When pressed while in the
TESTING MENU
,
it exits
from the TESTING mode and turns the colorimeter off.
THE DISPLAY & THE MENUS
The display allows menu selections to be viewed and chosen which
instruct the colorimeter to perform specific tasks. The menus are viewed
in the display using a general format which is followed from one menu to
the next. Each menu is a list of choices or selections like a restaurant
menu.
There are four lines in the display. The top line in each menu is a title or
pertinent instruction. The top line does not change unless a new menu is
selected. The second line is used in two ways. One way is to display
additional information if the top line is insufficient. For example, test
results are displayed on the second line. The second line is also used to
display menu choices. The third and fourth line are also used for menu
choices.
