ECO GREEN DOUBLE PLUS start-up
Information
This chapter is available for standard regeneration types. Contact your supplier if
regeneration is not standard and if you need assistance.
Start-up procedure
1. Program the controller
2. With the bypass still in the bypass position, connect the ECO GREEN controller to the
power source.
3. If you have not already done so, perform basic programming according to your system
specifications.
4. Start a manual regeneration by pressing
for 5 seconds, and select immediate start.
The motor will move. If 1B cycle (refill) is displayed, press and release
to move
forward to 1C cycle (backwash). Once in this position, unplug the controller from the
power source.
5. With the outlet manual valve still closed, slowly open the inlet manual valve and the
bypass.
6. If the installation is only fitted with a bypass, (not a manual inlet/outlet valve), open the
nearest tap close to the system, then slowly open the bypass valve. The valve and tank
will slowly be filled with untreated water, allowing air to be purged by the drain and/or by
the open tap next to the system. Open the inlet manual valve gradually until you reach
the fully open position.
7. Once the drain runs clear and the inlet manual valve is fully open, plug the controller
back into the power source. Press
for 5 seconds to return the valve to the service
position.
8. After the controller returns to the service position, enter advanced programming and go
to the parameter that controls manual opening of the brine valve (see advanced
programming chapter).
9. Keep the brine valve open and check that the water flows into the brine tank. Refill until
the water is just above the salt grid.
10. Restart manual regeneration by pressing
for 5 seconds.
11. The motor will move. If 1B cycle (refill) is displayed, press and release
to move
forward to 1C cycle (backwash), press and release
to position it in C2, check that the
valve draws in brine. Press and release
to position it in C3 and repeat the operation
until positioned in C4, wait for the completion of the C4 phase to clear the system of the
brine drawn in during the C2 phase.
12. When the C4 phase is complete, the controller returns to the service position. Open a
tap and run the water for a couple of minutes, then check the hardness and, if necessary,
adjust the residual hardness if the valve is equipped with a mixing device.
