Step 3
Installation of the sliding table - ref. fig 7 for this step
*Loosen both rail-locking blocks (32) two or three turns. To loosen, turn plastic handle and,
when it stops, pull down on it and start again as a ratchet would work.
*Place the rail assembly (30) on the saw table near the left edge of the table with the smooth
side up.
Be careful as the cotter pins are packed inside the rail to be used as stops in each end.
*Pick up the rail assembly near it's center and move away from the front of the machine until
the far end of the rail assembly locking groove (33) will just engage the front-locking block.
*Slide the rail assembly towards the rear of the machine and engage the rear-locking block.
*Slide the rail assembly onto the machine until it is approximately centered with the table.
*Lock both rail-locking levers (fig. 7, item 5).
*Pick up the sliding table (Item 26 fig. 4) with the straight edge nearest the left side of the saw
table.
*Move the sliding table assembly toward the end of the rail assembly (at the front side of the
machine) and engage the sliding table guide assembly on the end of the rail assembly.
*The high rail (nearest to the saw table) will engage first, then the lower rail. Slide the sliding
table onto the rail assembly until the second set of rollers engages the rail assembly and then
onto a central location on the rails.
*Insert cotter keys in keyholes at both ends of the top rail.
