Selecting the HOME button will display the HOME Type menu where several options are
available, such as:
1. Home all
2. Home X (X-Axis only)
3. Home Y (Y-Axis only)
4. Home Z (Z-Axis only)
During troubleshooting, each axis may be selected individually to test the position and operation
of the Home sensors.
The B18E handheld can also control a 4 th Axis. The controls for the 4 th Axis are indicated by an
“A” on the 4 and 8 buttons. If the A-Axis is active on the homing procedure but the 4 th Axis (A) is
not present, the process will not be completed.
In order to remove the A-Axis path:
1. Select MENU.
2. Select MACHINE SETUP.
3. Select HOME SETUP.
4. Select HOME ORDER.
5. Select Z, X, and Y.
6. Select OK.
7. To return to the Coordinates Screen, press STOP/CANCEL. Continue to press
STOP/CANCEL until the Coordinates Screen appears.
4.4 Moving the Router (Spindle) Head
Movement of the router or spindle head can be done manually in one of four (4) ways. Three (3)
of which can be toggled between using the MODE button (chosen mode will be displayed on the
lower portion of the controller screen).
Continuous and Stop mode, both use the internal grid settings (minimum movement feed) to aid
in accuracy. The default grid has two (2) settings depending on the movement speed mode
selected (LSP or FSP). In either Continuous or Step mode, the machine will move to the next grid
distance when the button is toggled.
The movement speed mode selected can be seen on the controllers coordinate screen display,
on the far right, third row down. To switch between these two (2) modes, use the High/Low
button.
