LaCie DVD Dual Drive
User’s Manual
The Problem
DVD-Video playback will not work in
Windows.
DVD playback is not as smooth as it
should be.
Questions to Ask
Has the LaCie drive been set as the
default DVD drive in WinDVD?
Are you running other software
programs simultaneously?
If using Windows, do you have a
Pentium II 350 MHz (or equivalent)
processor or greater?
Are you running other software
programs simultaneously?
Possible Solutions
See the LaCie DVD Dual Drive Software
Guide, as well as the WinDVD online
help.
Check to see if other programs are
running. If so, close them. Depending on
your computer’s configuration, playback
may be possible only if the DVD player
software is the only program running.
Check your processor (
Start > Settings >
Control Panel > System > General
tab.)
If your processor does not meet the
minimum requirements, you may need to
purchase an MPEG-II decoder card.
Consult your computer supply specialist
for details.
Check to see if other programs are
running. If so, close them. Playback may
become smoother when only the DVD
player software is running.
