Once you have selected the appropriate Calibration settings
you can immediately proceed to calibration by clicking the
Cali-
bration
button: for further instructions go directly to section
5.2

. If you wish
to navigate to other options, click on the corresponding button.
Reference Profile
: this is an alternative to the above Calibra-
tion Settings that can be used in situations where you want to
calibrate two monitors so they closely match.
In this situation, calibrate the first monitor and save its profile
normally. Then, calibrate the second monitor by using the first
profile as a reference. First, select the
Reference Profile
check-
box and click on the
Select
button. A popup window will appear,
allowing you to navigate to the appropriate folder where you can
select the profile to use as reference. Then, click the
Calibration
button. For further information on this feature please refer to
section
5.6.
of this manual.
If necessary you can access the
Advanced
options menu by
clicking on the
advanced options
button (refer to section
5.4.
Advanced Options
for further information).

5.2.2. Calibration and Profiling
The LaCie blue eye pro software creates a custom ICC Profile of
your monitor based on measures performed by the Lacie blue
eye colorimeter during the calibration process.
Position the LaCie blue eye application screen so that the white
disc is placed underneath the LaCie blue eye colorimeter, then
press the
Start
button to begin the calibration and profiling pro-
cess.
Your selected Target settings are displayed on the calibration
window during calibration process to remind you of the select-
ed values. You can stop the calibration process at any time by
pressing the
Stop
button. You can also go back to the Settings
or Main menu window by clicking the corresponding button. At
the end of the calibration process the
Save Profile
window will
appear.
