Temperature Control Programming
Draw a line, the same way you have done before, from the N output of the first Analog Branch
17.
element, approximately 10 grid spaces to the right, and then down to attach to the M1 “Stop” motor.
Next draw a line from the Y output of the other Analog Branch element down two grid spaces, over 6
grid spaces, and up to the line which extends from the N output of the first Analog Branch element.
From the main menu bar, select Save As and save your file as “TemperatureControlXY”, where XY
18.
are your initials. Save your file in your folder on the desktop.
When the program runs, the lamp will turn on and heat the NTC device until the resistance drops below
the value you have stored in the Analog Branch element (under the Start element). When the resistance
drops below the value you have stored, the lamp will turn off and the fan motor will turn on to cool the
NTC device until the resistance rises above the stored value in the lower Analog Branch element. When
the resistance rises above the stored value, the fan motor will turn off and the lamp will turn back on,
repeating the cycle.
Select Run on the tool bar. Make sure you have a blinking light for the interface your using (USB
19.
or COM port only). No lights should be on by the program button. If there are, press that button a
couple of times until the lights go off.
When you are done, stop the program, disassemble the model, and return all the parts into the
20.
trays.
Select File from the main menu bar and then Exit.
