APPENDIX D General Setup, Configuration and Troubleshooting

Series 5000 Sonar System Operations and Maintenance Manual

P/N 11210060, Rev. 13.0

D.5 TPU LAN Configuration Setup

Connect a Terminal or PC running HyperTerminal to COM1 on the back of the
TPU.

Configure the device as follows:

• 9600 baud

• 8 bit

• 1 stop bit

• none flow control

• VT100 emulation

Configure the ASCII setup in the

ASCII Setup

dialog

box, and then connect the TPU to the host PC
computer using the Ethernet Hub.

Turn on the TPU. The CPU in the TPU will look for the host computer and load
the file vxWorks:
