3-5 CONNECTING EXTERNAL CONTROL SIGNALS (Only EDS-400A)
The following operations are enabled by inputting a contact signal or TTL signal (0 to 5 V) to the "CONT.
IN" connector. A given operation is executed when the contact signal turns ON or TTL signal level
becomes L (0 V). The signals thus input must be free of “chatter.”
Note that the EDS-450A is not provided with external control function.
[1] Start/Stop
Inputting a contact signal or TTL signal between C and F of the "CONT. IN" connector, as shown
below, will start recording if it is currently stopped or stop recording if it is currently in progress.
[2] Trigger
Inputting a contact signal or TTL signal between D and F of the "CONT. IN" connector, as shown
below, will issue a trigger when the system is waiting for a trigger in the external trigger mode.
[3] Zero
Inputting a contact signal or TTL signal between E and F of the "CONT. IN" connector, as shown
below, will implement zero suppression.
