7.5.4 Fitting the impeller
7.5.4.1 Single-stage variant

The notes and steps stated in (
Section 7.5.3, Page 58) have been observed/carried out.
ü
The assembled bearing bracket as well as the individual parts are kept in a clean
and level assembly area.
ü
All disassembled parts have been cleaned and checked for wear.
ü
Any damaged or worn parts have been replaced by original spare parts.
ü
The sealing surfaces have been cleaned.
1.
If equipped with KSB cartridge seal (4ES):
Insert intermediate ring 509.95.
Sizes 200-250, 250-300, 300-340 and KSB cartridge seal (4EB):
Insert
intermediate ring 509.
2. Insert key 940.01 and slide impeller 230 onto shaft 210.
3. Fasten impeller nut 922. (See Table: Tightening torques for screwed connections
at the pump)
7.5.4.2 Double-stage variant (125-500/2)
ü
The notes and steps stated in (
Section 7.5.3, Page 58) have been observed/carried out.
ü
The assembled bearing bracket as well as the individual parts are kept in a clean
and level assembly area.
ü
All disassembled parts have been cleaned and checked for wear.
ü
Any damaged or worn parts have been replaced by original spare parts.
ü
The sealing surfaces have been cleaned.
1. Insert key 940.31 into shaft 210.
2.
If equipped with KSB cartridge seal (4ES):
Insert intermediate ring 509.95.
If equipped with KSB cartridge seal (4EB):
Insert intermediate ring 509.
3. Slide impeller 230.02 onto the shaft.
4. Slide spacer sleeve 525.01 onto the shaft.
5. Slide diffuser 171 onto spacer sleeve 525.01.
6. Slide impeller 230.01 onto the shaft.
7. Fasten impeller nut 922 (right-hand thread).
7.5.5 Re-installing the back pull-out unit

Back pull-out unit tilting
Risk of crushing hands and feet!

Suspend or support the bearing bracket at the pump end.

The notes and steps stated in (
Section 7.5.4, Page 63) have been observed/carried out.
ü
Any damaged or worn parts have been replaced by original spare parts.
ü
The sealing surfaces have been cleaned.
ü
For back pull-out units supplied without coupling: Fit the coupling in accordance
with the manufacturer's instructions.
1. If required, prevent the back pull-out unit from tipping over, e.g. by suspending
or supporting it. Then push it into volute casing 102 with new gasket 400.19 .
2. Tighten nut 920.1 at the volute casing.
3. Fasten support foot 183 to the baseplate with a foundation bolt.
